Is there a time limit for claiming bounties?

Well, is there?

or will the bounty money be waiting for me to collect in the appropriate station forever? As I roam around I get rewarded bounties from a lot of factions (probably due to the K-Warrant scanner). It's getting to the point now that I'm actually starting to rack up quite a sum in various factions that I've not gotten around to visiting yet. I'm beginning to worry that they'll disappear after a designated time.

Anyone know how this works?

I kinda figured that too, but i'm still scurred.

Ermagerd!

Yup. I had a few hundred thousand in Empire, Alliance and Independent bounties. Lost it when I got swarmed by pirates and nuked by missile spam.

Now I keep a CWIS on one utility hardpoint. Lesson learned. LOL :D

Wait, you wasn't joking about that? I'm pretty sure I haven't lost my bounties when I've died. Maybe that just goes to show how much attention i've been paying :/

As far as I know there isn't a time limit. But, if you die you loose them!

Worts game mechanics Eva!!!!!
Not only that, but you also have to pay ship insurance.

ED tried to make a game realistic...ha big mistake.
What next?
I go to dock and the game says, sorry please wait, your commander is taking a dump. Please play the mini game, guide the Lincoln log.

Sadly, no, I wasn't.

I do, however, understand the 'logic' behind the game mechanic. You're issued 'vouchers' when you make the kill. Those vouchers die with the ship if it gets destroyed. No voucher, no proof of kill. My guess is that you have to have the sensor/kill cam data to 'prove' the bounty, otherwise any scoundrel could claim to have made the kill, just to scam the authorities out of the payout.

That's a logical way of looking at it I guess.

I could probably counter it with the idea that surely this far into the future we would have the technology to be remotely paid?

Please uninstall the game Macgyver. Looks like FD will never please someone like you. All we get is you whining. Take it elsewhere, if you don't like playing in a mans game.
