Is there a way to change the HUD?

This is a minor nit picky thing but, can you change the HUD so that the Primary and Secondary weapon setup show from right-to-left instead of left-to-right?

I can't seem to find anything in the options but like many people here (if not all of you) I read from left to right and find this aspect rather annoying.

Nope no options to modify the HUD currently other that manually changing the colors from the files themselves yet.

I am confused as to what you are asking... Are you talking about the way it lists weapons down the side of your canopy?

If so, you can just reverse the key maps to the primary and secondary trigger and then reverse firegroup assignment numbers. Unless my 3:30am brain is failing me. It should then put the primary weapons on the left and secondary on the right

Sorry. No option that I am aware of. And I doubt there would be one anytime soon I would imagine.

My guess on positioning would be that primary is on the right as the majority of people would have their right hand as their dominant hand. That's just a guess, though. Maybe they flipped a coin.

Justa a guess, try swapping Weapon Groups 1 & 2.

You can change colours with third party software or alter it manually in files. Brightness can be adjusted in the right hand menu in your ship.

Damn shame it is. I keep looking up to confirm what fire group I'm in and naturally I look to the left where it says "Secondary" all the time.

If the weapons load out goes from left to right and all the panels read from left to right, why the hell didn't they setup the HUD the same way???

Even if it says secondary it tells you the number of the firegroup you are in. Am also having trouble following what the issue is

I know what you're driving at.

You want the weapon activated by your index finger trigger to be on the left

And the weapon activated by your thumb to be on the right.

If so you could place the weapons in the wrong order and then remap your buttons so that trigger is secondary weapon (shown on left) and thumb button activates primary weapon (displayed on the right).

Would that be a suitable work-arounf?

Thanks, that helps, been wondering how to do this for a while now. Seems odd that the primary should be on the right to begin with, Our eye's (In the west) read from left to right, so when I look for the Primary I look to the left. Primary being before secondary hence left before right.

Loads of research has been done on how we look around a screen and take in information by the MCC in particular. It was found that despite most people being right handed (mouse hand) they still looked to the top left for menu items, not the top right because they are right handed.

At least there is a way to get it changed but still a rather strange design choice IMO.

The issue is logical and routine arrangement. You can't follow because your missing out on the logical part.

Oh I completely understand your issue with primary being on the right, although a bit OCD. I still don't get your comment about the fire groups.. It is displayed on both sides of the HUD

There's nothing OCD about UNIFORMITY. If you think so, your home or room must be a mess. Retired military veteran here. Uniformity
