Is there a way to REPAIR your Hull Without docking at a station?

As title stated. What equipment repairs hull?

None. If you're afraid of being scanned/shot, go to an outpost. If your ship's a Type 7 or bigger, however, a large station is your only choice.

I was sure there was something you can have equipment wise to fix hull. would save huge bills and better on long hauls when you get too close to a sun or something.

Hull is repairable only at stations/outposts. There's this automated repair unit though, I think you're thinking that - but it repairs only subsystems (=modules), and of those it doesn't touch thrusters.

A big space welder widget as used by the mechanics and welders in stations... I hear the quality of the welding in Sol is amazing, it has Zen-like qualities, the space motorcycle repair business is booming these days.

Oh well. it would be nice to have a system that fixes hulls. I mean it was in previous versions of the game. I wonder if it will be something they add in later as a patch.

mmm, I wish there was too.

As it is, a slight argument with a star reduced my hull to 82%. Unfortunately it's over 7,000 LY to the nearest repair outpost
