is there a way to set elite to run in full screen automatically?

I've been manually setting Elite display settings to display Full Screen each time I run it through SteamVR. is there a way to do this without having to go to display settings each time? is i leave it in Windowed mode, when the mouse pointer moves away from the screen it causes input problems.

any help would be appreciated.

There's an option under the Graphics settings that switch between Windowed, Borderless and Fullscreen. Does that not work under Steam?

He's saying that the display settings for the mirrored window don't stick.

I have the same problem, even using a profile in ED Profiler with mirrored window set to fullscreen doesn't work, I still have to go into the display options and set a fullscreen everytime I launch with the Vive too.

Yep, that's the problem I'm experiencing. It gets a bit annoying after awhile. Well now I know it's not just happening to me, hopefully someone out there has a simple solution :)

Ah I gotcha now. Yes, mine is the same, I leave it at 1280x768 default, but it'd be nice to have it remember.
Is it tucked away in a config XML file somewhere?

Oh, so is that why the mouse cursor goes completely AWOL in the system and galaxy maps??? That'd make sense. What a pain.

VR users are still only a small proportion of the total Elite playerbase though.

was this ever resolved? this is becoming more and more annoying everyday. the problem im having is when using the mouse ingame. i have a HOTAS setup, but when doing SRV turret combat, i use the mouse to aim(so much better that way) and 9 times out of 10, i click on something on the desktop. i usually dont realize it immediatly, and this can straight up get you killed! so basically i HAVE to run it in full screen, and it makes 0 sense as to why this one setting wont stick.

I think that setting the cursor to a "panel-based cursor' prevents the ingame cursor from going outside the window and losing focus.

I can't remember exactly where the setting is in the menu, but it allows for a range of cursor settings. Try each and see if it fixes the problem.

It's a bug. I reported it a few patches ago (2.1?).

Everytime you run Elite with VR it goes into Window mode. Shadowplay only records full screen so I have to make it full screen every time I play.

Not that Shadowplay works lately. Rrrrr...

I ditched shadowplay a long time ago in favor for OBS.
Yes its more involved and takes some effort to get just right, but it is also way less limited.

if you alt tab it gets screwy though, cant rely on it. i like to use open vr and have websites open or videos playing while running elite in VR. running in borderless fullscreen fixes all the issues

I also have this issue.

Would love the game to start the mirrored client in full screen mode in my selected graphic setting.
Using the alternate cursor just gives me a headache as it follows my view direction, not what I wanted.

Please just make it go away. Makes me sick having 2d screen with grey border on foot in vr. Just ecpsnd view to 2d so its fair. It is currently almost unplayable in vr on foot just make the window cover the whole fov in vr thats all i ask please
