is there a way to ?

fire crew members 400ly away from me. id rather not have to transfer ship at a cost of 17mcr just to sack them.
they keep on mugging my cr when they are not in use.
fly safe ;)

You just need a starport with a crewlounge. The only option you can't choose when not having a fighter bay is to set them active. All other things like hiring and firing is possible.

A suggestion - starting two threads with the exactly same subject could lead people to think you posted the same question twice and therefore only open one of them. Specific titles/subjects is a way better way of attracting those who could answer...

I assumed that no 'one would assume I was brain dead and open two threads about the same subject. maybe I should assume that there are BD cmdr's out there!

There are no brain dead cmdrs, but it's kind of a very basic forum logic, different titles for different threads...
The inability to do so and to come up with two different titles would be quickly assumed as a way to brain-dead, however

considering the time I posted and the amount of sleep in between posts I had, I admit I was partly asleep!
brain was functioning at low energy level..;(.
I don't see an issue using the same title. they both were relevant to both ?'s

Well obviously I'm no mod and I don't deal in forum decorum, so it feels weird, and I only reacted because I did not like the term brain dead... Yes the title was "relevant" to both threads but just like "my cmdr is..." or "there's no way we..." would be "relevant" to multiple subjects.
it just implies you have a question, without giving any clues about the question. And many questions are asked on the forum, so it's better starting with your problem, and differentiating them. It would be a hell to navigate through the forum if x number of threads would just say "I have a question", x number would say "I have a suggestion"...

Obviously, it's no big deal, and I really dedicated 1 minute of my life to this answer haha, what am I doing with my life, but eh. Requires a minimal effort from everybody's part for much more clarity in the end, so...
