Newcomer / Intro Is there any way of forcing Inara to update a signature?

I have noticed my sig is significantly out of date - I am one rank away from Trading Elite and now a combat Novice, but no amount of saving in Inara seems to change the actual image png link to what I see currently.

It has been like this for a couple of weeks now and not generated within a couple of hours and I can't think of anyway to trigger a change?

At some stage my auto-update had been disabled and I had to log out and log back in and re-enable that - and that has been periodically updating Inara as it now has the ship I bought earlier last weekend so that is still working... but the shame I feel at still showing as Mostly Harmless is tangible!

Seems fine to me.

I think you just have your signature picture cashed in your browser so it doesn't update for you.
Try hitting Ctrl+F5

Ahhh I will have a go at that... not sure what that equivalent is for an iPad or a MacBook but that would explain it!

No idea about iOS. Maybe try simply deleting the cookies.

Yeah easier using the MacBook as that was on chrome so easy to wipe the cookies. IOS involved fishing about for an eternity in settings but if/when I hit trading Elite I will clear the cache once Inara shows the right setting.

Phew - So after painstakingly sorting out my loadouts in the ipad ... and promptly losing them, I feared I had screwed up my coriolis.io and edsy loadouts on the mac... thankfully I only blitzed the last 24 hours of cache... loadouts safe, and seemingly signature intact! Thanks! Mind you, now feeling combat-inadequate as a Novice! Best get the Viper over to Borann for some RES action then!

You're gonna fly through the first couple of combat ranks relatively quickly. It's only after Master things start to drag a little.

You're gonna fly through the first couple of combat ranks relatively quickly. It's only after Master things start to drag a little.

The reasons things are so much quicker at first are

1. Each rank takes twice as many points as the one before, when you reach Deadly you are halfway there points wise.
2. You get more points for besting higher ranked opponents, the higher your rank the harder they are to beat and the more likely you are to encounter lower ranked ones.

Also using NPC crew will slow you down as they take half your points if you take them with you.
