Is there ANY way to find infested systems in Galmap?

As above. I know you can filter on incursions but infestation seems pure luck. I know player groups give out lists but surely you should be able to find them in game. I checked against a system i know is infested - it doesn't show anywhere. Surely not working as intended?

Infested ? Infested with what ?

brown recluse spiders
lady bugs
termites
frogs

Edit: locust ?
grasshoppers (are they ... never mind)
mesquitos

Inquiring minds want to know

I don't think 'infested' is one of the new BGS states. The three new states are at the bottom of the state-filter list in Galmap: Investment, Civil Liberty, and Incursion.

No, I mean infested. Infested is the state before incursion. There are infested systems (with a load of NHSS) but there seems to be no way of finding them.

Nope there is no way ingame currently to find them.
except going to an eagle eye and decoding the signal thingy or using 3rd party information.

Yes, set the Civilization filter to "Human".

The main intended in-game way of finding them is to visit the Eagle Eye beacons, decode the messages, and then go to the specified systems (which at the moment are a mix of infested, incursion, and sites of interest)

Obviously it's generally easier to wait for someone else to do that and read the list they put out, but it can be done entirely in game because that's where those lists come from.

(You can also just happen to stumble across them while dealing with incursions, as the new infestations are often near previous incursions, though that's not reliable)

I understand that. Do you have to visit every eagle eye beacon or just one? In terms of 'immersion' it doesn't make a lot of sense. When you jump into an infested system the state comes up with 'infestation reported'. So your computer knows the system is infested but won't tell you until you're actually jumping into the system....that seems a bit silly to me.

...

I just hope someone else does this while Facta is away with DW2 :D

It looks like each one has a different message in 3.3 - though you might get lucky and the first one you check points to an infested system, of course.

Jeez. I'm not going to every one each week. I guess i'll just ignore that part of the game then.
