Is there any way to get % of players with Corvettes/Cutters ?

Roughly 2.5% (1 in 40) of commanders have Cutters.
Roughly 2.5% (1 in 40) of commanders have Corvettes.
Corvettes are slightly more common than Cutters.

I agree but it does risk igniting grievances. I personally think it is a useful tool to show pilots that certain things are possible.

How many players are over 5B cr worth of assets would I think be an interesting one since that sum pretty much buys you everything atm, maybe a % rather than a solid figure would be safer.

Not sure why simple stats on anything would aggravate grievances? You can get a feel for who's playing with what from the traffic stats in well travelled systems - but they are skewed towards ship use, rather than ship ownership. I'd agree that it could be disheartening to newbs to find out that there are people out there with 15+ ships, 5 bn cr and 2000hrs, or it could give them something to aim for.

As stated.. Whats the percentage of players with top tier ships ? I rarely see a Corvette, but I've seen a few Cutters in Open.

That can't be totals... Total players rated is 24k, But Steam says over 800k games sold, and that doesn't account for units sold direct from Frontier.
