I've heard there's always a chance of unwanted traits even when it doesn't show it
Is there any way to incubate a dinosaur without unwanted traits in sandbox?

If you are referring to negative traits, yes to an extent. Manipulating the specific gene to be 0% should ensure a negative trait nor positive trait is there. If you are trying to avoid a certain random trait like nocturnal or a positive trait, then no idea besides being able to pick and choose which eggs make the cut. Some dinos have too many points into negative traits that it's impossible to move it to 0%. In those cases, you'd just have to keep producing till you got some that meet your requirement. Lots of eggs in the trash. I may be missing something since it's been a bit since I played but that should be the gist of it.
Thanks for the reply! I didn't really think about choosing eggs and throwing away some. Sandbox is still way to limited though imo
There's always a bit of a chance at getting some negative traits, but don't forget that you don't have to incubate every egg you get in a batch. You can still choose to discard eggs that can grow into dinosaurs with lots of negatives.
Being able to manually select the genes each batch can have would be nice, as to help eliminate some unnecessary RNG for Sandbox players. I'd also like to have more freeform features like habituated Indoraptors or nocturnal Megalosaurus.
