Horizons Is there anyway to get my steering wheel and pedal setup to work in ED for the SRV?

Hi

I have always had a blast messing about in the SRV and each time I do I keep thinking about driving about using my wheel. I have the Logitec G29 steering wheel but ED doesnt recognise it

I have had a quick look at trying to sync up my virtual joystick but I couldnt seem to get that to recognise it either - I didnt try very hard tbh. I use joystick curves and tried to adapt those too - nothing

Has anyone else ever done this or does anyone have any ideas how I could achieve this?

Thanks!

If ED doesn't recognize the axes of the wheel, even if Windows does, there's probably very little to do. :/

When you say "ED doesn't recognise it" - don't expect the wheel to show up in the list of profiles/control schemes because ED only has default profiles for about 25-30 of the more popular controllers and they are mostly HOTAS/sticks. Does the game recognise the input when you try and program a binding? What happens in the Windows game controllers dialogue?

I sometimes use my Thrustmaster wheel and pedals to drive the SRV. I just took a copy of my regular binds and then re-programmed the SRV bindings one by one. No problems with it except the game sometimes forgets the changes you just made to the SRV controls but then again it used to do that with a HOTAS.

Didn't get the steering wheel to work well. It took the full range of the wheel to turn and there were some dampening of the initial curves.

but got the pedals working!

It works really well!

Setup:
  • Throttle set to forward
  • Accelerator as the throttle
  • Break as hand-break
  • Clutch as switch between forward and backwards

Surprisingly immersive!

It is a really shame that I cant use the pedals as rudders. My pedals are considered separate axi :/

I have a Thrustmaster T500 with the T3PA pedals. I have the T500 manager so I can set the rotation angles and the FFB settings per game. I set the rotation at 240 degrees for ED. Pedals I have set as above except for the handbreak( will look into that though)
You can set the pedals for the rudder, i tried it but I prefer the twist on the stick.
