Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

A friend and me did two source wing missions yesterday. Each time, we got less money as a reward than stated in the mission.

Is there some kind of secret tax, or is this a bug?

I recorded one example. At the top left corner you can see my current cash, shortly after I hand the mission in. The payout is 12.543.930 instead of the stated 15.113.168, so 2.569.238 short... I want my money back.

Well, you gotta buy the stuff you source. So deduct that from the reward and you got your net profit.
(Before accepting the mission you see an estimate of the total costs of the commodity in the top right corner)

Do you have a npc crew member, inactive ofcourse?
Yes, I have two inactive NPC crew members. But when they're inactive, they shouldn't get any share, right?

I already finished the mission, so all the money I had to pay for the imported goods was already spent. The video shows the hand in of the mission...

Ok, than that's it. Thanks. Greedy bast...

Blame FD. They seem to think that it's cool to allow for upto 3 NPC's to be stored without telling the player that the inactive sods will all take a full percentage of their cut from the original sum.

If you trained 3 NPC's from harmless upto Elite, that's a cheap 30%. Marvelous mechanic.
