So, I don't know what's going on here. I just got the game about 1 week ago, and since then have been trying to earn credits. I've found some good trade routes and since then have managed to raise my total assets to around 4.5million credits. Well, Yesterday I decided to do some exploring and decked out my Cobra with the best exploration gear I could find. I've spent all day yesterday and about 1hour today exploring systems.

During my exploring today I was traveling through a system and decided to check out some of my stats while I was en route to a distant planet. I looked at my total assets and I saw

5,157,973,155 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy hell!!!! Where did I get 4.5billion credits from?!?!?!?!? I booked it to the nearest station to see if I could actually spend those credits and sure as hell I can now purchase any ship I want.

I'm not complaining really, but seriously does anyone know what the hell is going on?

Pfft, 'tis nothing, I am virtually a trillionaire occasionally when I first open the galactic map and see I have 999,999,999,999 cr for a moment. That one they might have fixed, it's been a while since I noticed it.

There was an issue yesterday with the transactions server and it's either allowed people to sell stuff multiple times or not registered when they have bought stuff. Today some people have seen odd balances today as if it tried to adjust for the issue.

Yeah its a bug. if I were you I wouldn't go on a spending spree as it'll just tie game support down with more work to do undoing it and deleting all the stuff you buy with it. Of course I'm assuming they will deal with these issues by removing the bugged money and anything people are tempted to buy with it.

Corrective action other than prevent it from happening again, would in itself be wrong. There is indeed a "clear save" button for unhappy bug victims.

The damage was done the second the miscalculations were made.
