That's where I first experienced it as well. I've mostly been landing on atmospherics with bio signals, but I'd say it's at least 1 out of 10 planets (regardless of colouration) that exhibits this behaviour, if not more.It's very obvious on planets that are very red, I have noticed it myself.

Seems to just be a feature of EDO planet tech. I've seen plenty of this in people's vids, along with terrain that dematerializes once you approach.
Saw some plants in a mountainous area and had to land outside of it. Driving into them (at really low speeds) I see the landscape etc actually morph into shape as I approach. Playing on Ultra+.along with terrain that dematerializes once you approach
