LOL! Impossible! I was in a wing of 12 and it broke the galaxy! (well it was 3 wings of 4..but it still broke the instance!)

Well I jumped out of Parkinson and the entire right side of my screen was full of FS stars. After pooping myself I realised they were all in the same wing...

I've seen NPCs grouped in some pretty impressive wing numbers before alright. Maybe it's just procedure for pilot's federation members to group in smaller wings to suit their uniform HUD, and presumably we're trusted to operate more independently in general.

Naw, it was some kind of glitch I'm sure. It was just outside a station. My guess is something happened in which a ship was unable to jump out, and for some reason his wing continued to grow as NPCs spawned... but they were unable to leave as well, leading to this stationary space waltz where everyone just floated around in one area without going anywhere.

I found a wing of 9 in a RES once biggest ive seen. Decided to take it on. About 15 seconds into the fight, I slammed into a rock and popped. Ill never know if I could have succeeded :(
