Ship Builds & Load Outs Is this a viable beluga build?

Hello, first of all sorry if this is not the right subforum to be posting this, so, i'm currently farming credits at Ceos doing New Dawn Star -> Sirius Athmospherics loop with a Orca but i was thinking about getting a Beluga for the extra room to take more people and farm faster and since its a one jump loop the risk of me getting jumped by someone is low, i was wondering if this is a good build for this particular loop

In the future when i have the amount of credits i'm looking for i'l upgrade it to be a proper long range passenger cruiser as my secondary ship but for now i just wanna use it for this particular farming loop. Any helpful input would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance :D

Yes, it is a good Beluga build but I have had experience with luxury passenger cabins and they do not seem to gather much extra money. I would exchange it for a first or business class cabin.

A Type 9 may also be a good option like this: https://s.orbis.zone/11ya (but more developed)

Since I haven't been to Sothis and Ceos for quite a long time, I can't remember how much money can be made from transporting cargo, and that could be another option.

You could go with no shields and get an auto dock to make room for more cabins, but you may become a target for pirates.

I ended up with this build including mods

A little overkill on the fsd but i didnt wanna jump 50 times getting back to ceos from where i purchased the ship, been doing around 6/7mil creds per run, each run takes around 5 mins so im doing around 72/84mil per hour on this build, pretty nice i think :)

The type 9 only has room for 1 more passanger cabin (if i go shieldless) and since every passanger misssion on Ceos is a VIP mission i can only put 1 set of people per cabin thats why i also run with 1 luxury cabin just in case one of the passangers is too fancy

The Power Plant you chose is D-rated. D-rated Power Plants have much worse thermal handling than A-rated.

  • D-rated = 0.75 efficiency, A-rated = 0.40 efficiency: a lower number means it's better at thermal handling.

A 5A Power Plant runs cooler, has better integrity, and is light so gives a better jump range. And a 5A Power Plant generates more power than a 6D.
  • But...without engineering, the Liner is atrocious at fuel scooping. I tested the Liner without engineering and it constantly overheated whilst fuel scooping and I went through heat sinks like Dixie cups. A Low Emissions Power Plant will improve thermal handling during fuel scooping considerably. Without engineering, fuel scooping is broken on that ship. You probably want to engineer it more than G1 to get decent fuel scooping (a G1 Low Emissions upgrade will make very little difference, so better to engineer it further).

You should get an Advanced Discovery Scanner in the empty slot, so you can honk and find all the planet locations. And when Beyond Chapter 4 releases in a week, the Advanced Discovery Scanner will automatically change to the new Detailed Surface Scanner.

It will not change into the new Detailed Surface Scanner as there is only the same Detailed Surface Scanner module as always. The ADS will just disappear and you will be refunded its price as the ADS is now integrated into all ships.

Changed a few things.
Putting clean drives on a hot running power plant, in a hot running ship, won't make a difference, esp @ G1.
On the other hand just using G1 dirty drag drives won't make your ship run appreciably hotter, as long as you run a cool powerplant.

I changed the PP, PD and some engineering.
Also put a better shield gen in a smaller slot giving you more room and more MJs (for the toast rack mainly).
