Ships Krait Is this enough for at least one Interceptor?

These are weapons gathered as rewards from recent CGs and put on anti-Scout Krait (killed hundreds of them with it, with turreted AX MCs).
Now I'd like to try to face an Interceptor in AX CG CZ.

Q: Will this be enough, or size 1 are just too small for Interceptors?
Tnx!

There are youtube video's of people filling their ship hardpoints with Shard cannons with PREMIUM ammo and one salvo shotting Thargoid Interceptors. I am not sure of the size of the weapons they used, but I do know it was premium ammo. When I fight AX (just scouts up till now) I follow the builds and advice and videos from the AXI (anti xeno group). Just google them if you are curious. I think their interceptor build uses Guardian guass cannons and not the shard cannons. I am probably going to be making a cold orbiting Chieftan per the axi recommendations soon. I am sure other builds will work to, but you may have to do a bit of research to find optimum builds that work with your ship and credit balance/materials balance for engineering.

I think it's possible with those weapons to get at least a Cyclops down. It's all a matter of practice and you skill in the end. I would prefer two class 2 Gauss cannons which are enough alone. Your biggest problem is the need to get in close to make the shard canons work. That makes you vulnerable.
4 large shards on an Anaconda with huge hull strength would be good.

Krait or Python (Mamba would also work I guess) with 3 large Guardian Shards with Premium Ammo and 2 Advanced Missile Racks with AX-missiles or the Big Three + T10 with 3/4 large Shards + Advanced Missiles Racks will shred a Cyclops. Just stand and fight, firing your salvos. You do not need to deal with the swarm.

In an Anaconda with 4 large Shards it is possible with the first attack, although I never succeded myself; needed at least 2. Never lost shields. With the Krait you may lose your shield to the lightning strike, but with HRP it is no problem.

The classic Cyclops-kill with Gauss Cannons, destroying every single heart and dealing with the swarm is much more work and will end up with more damage to your ship.

I assume you mean a wing of people?

Doing this alone is not possible. With luck it's possible to overwhelm a Thargoid with 2 hearts remaining solo.

Ok it is with advanced missile racks as well, 100% to dead in 30 secs, 1 anaconda vs 1 cyclops. Here is one of the videos I found:

. Personally I am not sure I would want to use the eng mats for synthesis for the premium ammo, but it is good to know it can be done, to a Cyclops.

In the write up on reddit the adv missile racks are not called out. I'll have to look and see how much damage they actually add.

There are a lot of people with old knowledge in this thread. Shards used to be for instagibbing goids, but not so anymore. The new salvation shards are actually better than gauss at killing hearts in particular, doing 75% of their full damage to hearts, compared to just 50% for gauss. With newly much higher AP, tighter spread, and near-hitscan bullet speeds as well, they're a serious contender for all AX activities.

Just saying though... dat heat on the modified shards :O Not too bad though I guess, keeps the corrosive goop burning off XD
