Is this happening to anyone else?

Rift CV1:

When I use any of the NO20 UI colour sets (e.g. the excellent Dr. Kaii's Spiritual Teal), I find that objects outside the cockpit, e.g. orbit lines, clouds in hyperspace jump animation, stars etc. take on a darker reddish/brown tint. If I revert to the stock UI colors, this does not happen.

I've tried different ports for my CV1 on my GTX 1070, but it makes no difference. I've taken some screenshots, but they don't show this behaviour, the objects look normal. It seems the tinting is only present in the Rift. I use Dr. Kaii's Profiler to switch out the GUI colours.

I'm at a loss as to how to figure out what's going on, and wonder if anyone else has experienced this, or perhaps have suggestions to fix this. The orbit lines are really pronounced, getting quite a bit darker (bolder if you will). The colour of the disk of the galaxy also is affected. I really like the NO2O choices, but the changes to other objects puts a bit of a damper on using them. I wish I could find a way to get a screen shot of how this looks in VR, but don't know any way to do that.

Here are my settings:

Thanks for any advice....

ED's colour space seems to be integral to a lot of the other in-game objects. The Rift colour gamut is also a bit different to the monitor too.

Perhaps try changing the teal HUD scheme by a few points (one at a time) to see if you can brighten the orbit lines and the galaxy too?

Does the HUD brightness setting help? (right panel, functions tab)

Have you experienced this by any chance? It's an actual color change, more than brightness..

Thanks

I've tried several of the blue-yellow schemes in Drkaii's profiler - however I have to admit I didn't notice much change in the other game elements, probably because I was looking at the HUD changes, and not so much outside.
But I've always returned to, and prefer, the stock orange HUD. The orange is fairly easy on my eyes, and I don't find it hard to read in VR as some others do. (My poor eyes are rubbish so I have fairly low expectations lol).

I think its all happening in the engine, probably nothing to do with the 1070 or the Rift itself. The Cobra engine's handling of colour is odd - there's little separation of the HUD colours with other graphical elements.
