If you're using modified hud colors you can lose some red text and it won't be as obvious as with the default colors. Maybe that's why.

Maybe you don't remember this but before, if you had a fine or a bounty, to clear it you had to pay the Pilot Federation. This was changed because it was too easy to commit crime and get away with it. I don't think they should give a mission like this one.

This mission is more suited for some criminal organisation:
- We want you to kill some poor schmuck.
- Go to his friends and find out where he is, than kill them all.
- Find him and kill him.

If this was the case, I would know I'm about to become wanted myself and wouldn't do it at all.

So an organisation that was helping its members by bribing the authorities are the "good guys" ?

BTW it's not the pilot federation that is proposing the mission and you need to have a very good reputation with a minor faction to be given this kind if mission (ie you have their trust), except if the faction is a criminal organisation.

There IS a manual somewhere from FDev. Pretty sure this gets mentioned. But who reads a manual for a game these days?... (Except flight sim buffs?)

A mission of 2.5 mcR reward must be difficult. Yo need a huge ship or a wing to achieve it.
