In recent months community members have been feeling as if Frontier have put planet coaster back on the shelf to collect dust as the new Jurassic World comes out soon. Is this all true? Will the sun set on the land of Frontier on the Coaster King Kingdom for planet coaster?

PS. the answer is no, they now have three franchises making good money and selling well. When JW is out they can re-assign resources back to Elite and PC until they need to start work on franchise #4 [wacky]

If they at least made a post about that they are working on something. It´s nice that they say it in the live streams, but for instance, I don´t watch them as I´m not interested in workshop streams. Not saying that would fix the problem (some people couldn´t be help), but it would make it better...
Hell no ... soon enough there will be an anouncement. Some people will go crazy like "in frontier we trust [haha]", some will say "oh no, this update is worthless because they didn´t fix a thing [cry]". Won´t be suprised if the next one is for free, since the tone in the "community" has gone rougher due to the discontent of some players/creators/"gamers"

Well ist seems like an hour ago a final trunk was added and we all know that final means we gonna hear something[wink][haha][haha].
I'm guessing they'll announce it tomorow since tuesday seemed to be a good spot for their dlc announcements,altough they also anounced some on fridays[praise].
Atleast we are probaby gonna hear something this week[happy].

After reading some of the reviews for the Jurassic World Evolution game, it doesn't look like we have to worry much... (Exhibit A: http://www.ign.com/articles/2018/06/11/jurassic-park-evolution-review )
One would even think that they did the a bare bones JWE to keep their attention in their own IPs.
It's kind of a shame, because I hoped for a crossover option (coasters going between dino enclosures) [haha]
I guess I'll have to pray for an animal park DLC, like Busch Gardens Tampa, Sea Worlds or Disney's Animal Kingdom.

From a lot of Dan Stapleton's critique, it looks like many of the problems with JWE are the same things players have been complaining about and suggesting fixes for in PlanCo, while the cheerleading squad hunts us down with trank guns -- talk about karma coming home to roost! [rolleyes]

I've seen a number of people express positive views watching a streamer on Twitch currently who has early access and have pre-ordered the game who didn't plan to originally. As with PC, not everyone's going to be satisfied with what they get. I know you want to think the game is destined for failure but time will tell on that one.

I expressed positive views of PlanCo two years ago, knowing it was early days and the obvious issues would be fixed -- ye gods was I wrong! With the example of PlanCo's current state available, JWE's potential customers aren't likely to be as trusting.
And no, I don't want JWE to fail -- I want it to be worthy of success. Currently it isn't, not in the professional opinions of industry reviewers.

Honestly, I just feel people here are looking at us that we are cruel and unfaithful, or even disrespectful towards Frontiers. It´s not that. Same as KickAir8p, I was happy at the beggining of PC, but they I started to be more pushy, as I noticed some problems with the game are not being fixed, or are even ignored by Frontier. "shallow" gameplay was also mentioned in many reviews for PC. And even after all this, PC is not much better, but they even release another game that seems to suffer from the same problems.
I can´t tell you how I feel, but I can tell you I´m not happy about this failure.
Have a look on SteamDB if you want an answer to the OP's question - there were at least 4 record updates related to Planet Coaster today so it looks like they are still working on it (all development branch updates).
