Interesting theory. We would need a pre 2.4 screenshot of the Nebula to see any differences. I think the "motherships" are going to come from their terrestrial wombs. All these PlanetSide sites we keep finding, I think, are going to become huge ships, the cyclops variants being sent to "feed" the barnacles and grow them.

Well in the previous Elite games lore, the Thargoid capital ship was the size of a planet (I read about it somewhere). I don't think it'll be that big in ED.

Why not? What if planetary bases are the tip of the Thargoid iceberg? They ",hatch" by cracking the planet.

I somehow doubt the Thargoid "mothership" is going to take up what equates to hundreds if not thousands of light years worth of real estate.
