Nope not new. I've seen a few iterations of that station.

There are actually a number of station types contrary to some posts I've read here... they look to be assembled using modular components.

Liteally saw one like that on my first day flying. Not new. There are many minor variations of four main types of stations.

I can't help wondering what purpose those arms are supposed to serve. Since the ends would be subjected to significant centripetal forces, perhaps they are intended as accommodation for beings from high gravity worlds?

You could use them as a dynamo if you were in a strong enough magnetic field, I suppose, or there must be some industrial or scientific use of the differential in force from one end of the arm to the other, but I think they are intended as giant maces for when stations get into fights with one another.

I first saw one in Gamma. Be warned *** they hit hard; I know. I came out of the only one I docked in ... not thinking ... took a hard 180 turn out of the letter box to line up for a jump to my next destination ... then BAM!!!! it smacked me hard and did enough damage I felt it safer to redock and fix my ship before I carry on.
.
I know to be careful out of ringed stations but this one caught me off guard.
.
Good luck

Curios on how big the populated(stationed areas) system is, like what % of the stations have been visited by different players? What % has not been visited by players and such?

Are the "undiscovered stars" truly undiscovered or does everyone have an equal go at getting each star/planet discovery?

I'd love it if there were players names in the bulletins for "unique" discoveries, that'd be cool... and I mean rare unique...

There are half a dozen different station types.... only 2 interiors though...

There are 4 different types of interior lighting. Then they have the metal interior and the fancy marble interior with grass and palm trees.
