Is Trading Slowly Dieing?

A few friends of mine, aswell as I have concerted from trading to bounty hunting in HAZRES's as the payouts are about the same, sometimes more, but way more entertaining.

I've also noticed a few you tubers mention this. With the introduction of HAZ and CNB's back in 1.4, this makes sense.

Just wondering if you guys have abandoned trading, or maybe switched over to Shadow Deliveries from places outside of the bubble.

It's not that is dieing it's that you can now make similar amounts of credits doing other things. So the puerile that are moving on from trading are the ones that were doing it more for profit and less for fun. Thus is a good thing it means you don't need to sacrifice progression just to have fun. Those of use who trade because we just like being space truckers will keep doing it until we get bored and want a change of pace.

I m making my trade in Open ike before, in Anaconda with legal commodities on some trade route between 3k and 3,6k/ton... May be bounty hunting is now like trading in cr/hour but, fighting AI isn't fun more than 30min for me :)

Given the posts about NPC issues I parked the Type-9 for awhile. Now it's Shadow missions which also improves Trader Elite and CZ/HASREZ working on Combat Elite.

As a combat trader I like the quiet time between interdictions as I can watch YouTube videos while cruising, that's something I can't do in pure combat, so no, I did not and do not intend to abandon trading.

Trading is not dying. Other occupations now pay just as well. And that is fine. Why should trading be the only way to make decent credits?

The only thing that's happening is people who enjoy trading are doing it.

I mean, I found it interesting and fun, just like I did in Frontier. I'm a Tycoon but it was just a means to an end. So I don't do it any more. I enjoy combat, smuggling and exploring more.

Thankfully, I can make good money doing those. The way the game was at launch, you had to trade if you wanted to do any of those things.

Luckily, I found the rags to riches progression really fun. And I'm certain many others will, too. But yes you can get by without it. And it does demand a certain amount of effort to get into it properly. And some people will find it mind numbingly dull. So those people are naturally going to avoid it.

It's just a good thing they can, now.

Just last week people are complaining that trading was the only viable way to make money so the professions needed to be balanced in potential income, providing an even playing field which doesn't force people into mandatory roles.

Now, it is being adjusted and there is complaints again.

Also, can a mod please correct the spelling mistake in the title?
