Zoo Tycoon Is ZT even getting an American release?

It does have a US release but no one cares about it because it's only on console. It's amusing how barely anyone is talking about this game even though it's a launch title. Frontier must be real happy to be Microsofts whipping boy right now.

Surprise hits can come out of anywhere. Look at Deadman Wonderland in Anime, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic in Cartoons and Percy Jackson in Books. Even Pokemon debuted itself on a practically dead console, and look how huge it got. Many stories we all cherish, like Harry Potter, Star Wars and Adventure time were rejected and delayed many times and didn't seem all that good at first, but look at them now

I'm pretty confident that the dudebro's the xbone is targeting won't care for a zoo simulator. Especially one that adds childish kinect features.

I do agree with these concerns.

For example you buy an xbox one console. How many games you going to buy one, two or three or three plus+?

I really dont think that anyone including even hardcore zoo fans would make this game their one and only xbox one purchase.

And i say this as a hardcore gamer, and zoo fan, and strategy fan and tycoon fan.

So how do they expect to sell this game?

Plus the lack of details, trialers, previews, media coverage, offical website and information is a bit concerning.

amazon.com X1 ZT order's cancelled

amazon.com just cancelled everyone's Xbox One pre-order, which were only available to order right after e3 before they took the product page down.

It would be great to have the dev's comment, assuming MS let's them. The game can be pre-ordered just about everywhere in other launch counties, IE: Europe.

"Hello,

So I just came across this image on another forum:

Even the most diehard fanboys aren't aware of Zoo Tycoon, this game is going to dead on arrival. Taking a PC franchise and placing it on a console for people who won't even acknowledge it makes me wonder about what other awful decisions have been made during production. I was contemplating purchasing an Xbox One just for this, but given how incompetent Frontier are I'd probably get more enjoyment from stabbing myself with a rusty screwdriver.

EDIT: That 2nd product page on amazon.com was updated and it looks like it now is just the Xbox 360 version of the game as they removed the references to "Xbox One".
