Ishmaak combat counter not working or what?

I've bitten the bullet and decided to unlock Ishmaak. From everything I gather, Ishmaak requires no less than 50 combat bonds and apparently they can be of any variety (Fed or Emp). I found a Fed system and it contained 3 CZ's one of which was low. After choosing a side I knew was related to the FED, not that it should have mattered. I proceeded to kill well over a dozen ship before running out of ammo and going to a station to refill.

After which I went back, selected the other side and killed a dozen more. Having at least 2 dozen kills, I looked at the engineering section under Ishmaak and he has me credited for zero combat bonds. I checked and though it states I've got an accumulation of over a million each between killing both sides in the same CZ; What's up with that!

I re-logged, I exited the game and restarted, I even restarted my pc. And nothing, is his counter broken or what?

Could be wrong, its been a while since I unlocked engineers, but don't you have to deposit them at the engineer?

I got the invite from Farseer, the second part states to claim a minimum of 50 combat bonds. I haven't cashed in any of them thinking I have to do it at his place. But without claiming them somewhere first apparently; I can't go to him at all. I'm on my way back to the system to cash them in. Reckon I'll have to see what happens after.

Ok, yeah that will work.

The KEY is to claim any and all bonds at or near the system in which they were accomplished. After cashing them in back at the station in the system I obtained them at. And doing a relog, Ishmaak now states I've accomplished 28 bonds. Only 22 more to go just to land at his site and then it either an additional 100,000 or a 1,000,000 more in bonds to actually unlock him.
