Engineers Isinor's Unauthorized Installation - not as good as I was expecting (maybe even bugged)?

After watching several Youtube videos regarding Isinor and its Installation (basically 2 pirate gangs fighting each other, one of them wanted) I got the permit and transferred my Corvette in a nearby system.

My 2 complains are:

1) Most of the time, after all of the Gold members are destroyed, you just wait, and wait, and wait... and nothing more happens. Sometimes you even get a warning of hostiles in the top right panel. But nothing happens, just the other gang patrolling around the installation. So you need to re-log (losing the limpets, of course), in order to spawn some more Gold clan members.

2) When the waves of attackers are re-spawning as advertised, I'm either losing a lot of materials while I'm fighting other ships (even with the hatch open and the limpets deployed), or, if I stay close to the materials and focus on collecting (3 limpets, 5A class), the wanted ships are destroyed before I have a chance to fire on them. Sometimes, I cannot even focus on collecting (giving a chance to the limpets to do their job), because there are like 3 ships firing on me in the same time, so I have to defend myself, in order not to lose the shield (high ranking Cutters, Corvettes, Pythons, FLDs, FASes, etc.). I wasn't in a real danger so far, but the material collections suffered.

Also, I have to constantly evaluating the distance from me to the materials, because the limpets have a limited range to ~1500 m and when I have like 3 destroyed ships spread at 3-4 km... And those materials won't stay there forever, of course.

Any advice?

Number 1 is a bug. It also happened today. No other wanted ship after a first wave of around 3 ships.

Makes number 2 just about pointless, since it happened only in a single instance, after 2 evenings of play.
