Isla Mureta Map size

I honestly think that one thing people are not understanding is that a lot of theses islands are not going to be massive otherwise the game would be too easy. They want to make the shapes of the islands different and use the terrain as barriers and challenges.

Most will be rather medium to small until we get to play Isla Sorna, that map will be pretty big.
Isla Nublar will also be the size of Sorna and we can unlock that earlier by four stars on Isla Matanceros.

Still, even on this island if you plan well you can have quite a number of enclosures and species.

Looking at the sizes of the enclosure on the mini-map vs how they appear during gameplay on the new Muerta footage it's clear to see that there is plenty of building room even on smaller islands like you said. I think people just need to realise it's not 1 big park that's being built like in JPOG but many, I think they'll get that when they notice how much more work is involved with the bigger parks. :p

Exactly, this is a Park Management game, that was something JPOG really wasn't. With Evolution you have to actually plan carefully to manage your park.

Yeah precisely, it's not going to be easy to build a park from the ground up hence why we've seen both Matanceros and Muerta have a prefabricated area for you to get used to playing and expand from. On the JWE website Tacano has an even lower rating for facilities than Muerta, so I imagine that's when it will start getting difficult.

Let me guess, people are back to whining about the size of the play areas again? I guess they forgot the video of the Tacano gameplay where the play arear looked to be pretty big.

It looks pretty big to me. It's not huge, but it's not bad for a play area for people just leaving the tutorial island. People have to keep in mind that this is a park management game as you all have said and it's also about progression. The devs have made this clear many times now. You are progressing up to Sorna which is the biggest map in the game. Just consider all the rest of them to be tutorials. It's setting you up to deal with running a huge park on Sorna. But it's also about space management as well, which I like the idea of. Especially after hearing we will have two huge arears to build on, Isla Sorna and Isla Nublar.

I think the sizes are fine. You might not be able to have every single species on every island, but so what? It would be boring if all your islands had the same species.

The sizes are fine with me, you’ve got to have a bit of a challenge. I think there is the right mix.

I like the range of sizes of the islands. Starter islands won't need much space as you won't have many dinos to pick from. An interesting one will be the small thin one - how to get a good rating with minimal space - I guess we'll need to chose facilities and dino species carefully to get a good rating there.

I'm all for a challenge and uneven terrain it will make for interesting park designs handing the players to much of an area to work with just makes it boring where as if you have ex amount of space to build you can get creative, It's understandable that Isla Sorna and Isla Nublar will be the largest of the maps due to them being the main Islands featured in the movies and I'm looking forward to see what designs people come up with when building there parks.

All I can think of for that skinny one is a shady Mad Max Thunderdome fighting pit. " 2 Dinos enter, 1 Dino leaves". There would be money to make there...
