Isla Nublar Theory

As we all know, Frontier is keeping Isla Nublar a tight kept secret. What we do know is that there is going to be different timelines in the game and they have stated this game is not going to be limited to just Jurassic World.

My theory, when you unlock Isla Nublar, you get thrown back to the 2000s well after the events of Jurassic Park. You are tasked with building Jurassic World but first, you have to deconstruct what is left of the original Jurassic Park and capture and contain what Dinos are still on the island, including Rexy.

That’s not all tho, once you complete this scenario, you unlock the JPOG equivalent to Site B, the sandbox mode. Seems like Isla Nublar would be the ideal island to have it on. I doubt they would blow up this island with a volcano like what will happen in Fallen Kingdom.

What do you guys think? What do you think will happen when we unlock Isla Nublar?

Sandbox mode. It has to be.

The other 5 islands with their fixed day night cycle to me would feel like a staged RTS campaign mode, where there is a story narrative and you experience all the mechanics over time.

Would be a pretty good way to finish that off to unlock full sandbox mode on no less than isla nublar.

I never had the retail copy of operation genesis (ahem)... but i have a vague memory that site b was only unlocked once you progressed so far. If that was the case and given how closely JWE has copied JPOG.. would be quite a nice finale.

Offtopic: This would amazing if this was grafted onto Planet Coaster somehow. Even the campaigns there drop you in the deep end from the very first one, while straight forward you're still jumping to google every few minutes where you want instruction to know what to do.

Sandbox mode seems likely.

Pena is confirmed to be the mission where you unlock Indominus and contain it. Makes sense that dealing with Indominus will be the last story mission. Then Nublar been sandbox mode.

I would love a sandbox Isla Nublar set in 1993 Jurassic Park. Or, at least with the old buildings and vehicles etc. A day/night cycle would cap it off.

This aspect of the game excites more than anything else. I will be so much more excited for the story part of the game on the 5 deaths if I knew this was confirmed.

What I DON'T want is a volcanic hellhole of an island if its set after Mt Sibo erupts.

The campaign is meant to take place mainly towards the end of the JWFK movie so I'm fairly sure Nublar wont be set during that time also.
This makes me curious as to when they will be making an omage to the original Jurassic Park because it's been mentioned a few times that there WILL be an omage. I really do hope
it's on Nublar and not on Sorna (which would make sense for obvious reasons).

As I posted before BIS made a video about it and I watched the interview with the two guys from Frontier, they said Universal was quite clear and adamant about the game being about the whole franchise, it couldn't be just about Jurassic World.

My theory is that Isla Nublar will be the 1993 Jurassic Park and we will have to run it or build a park using JP themed items. They said in order to unlock Nublar we will have to get 5 stars on every island but only 3 to progress across the islands. From Matanceros to Pena. So once we unlock Nublar and get five stars on that island it will unlock Sorna as the site B mode and we will unlock sandbox mode as well and hopefully it will allow us to use Sorna or Nublar in the sandbox mode. I am also hoping sandbox will have a day and night cycle. Cause in the books and even in the movies night played a large role in the story and in the book it was a huge image thing.

You have just described my perfect game.

Also, don't you think it's really good of universal to want the game to encompass the entire franchise?? They easily could have said that Frontier could only do JW stuff in order to promote FK. I'm so so happy that Universal seem to care about fans.

Well I originally thought Universal had approached them to do the game and Universal would be the publisher and Frontier the developer. But Frontier is funding the development of the game themselves so it's more likely they contacted Universal and told them what they planned. So I think they planned it all along. But yeah it's good that Universal told them to make sure the game contains the whole franchise. Not just Jurassic World cause really I wasn't a big fan of that movie.

We both have the same idea for our dream game then. :)

I agree man, that would be my dream game as well. The only wrench I see with this being implemented is the UI, maps and research trees they currently have. It is very much centered around Jurassic World. In order to pull off a Jurassic Park theme, they would have to change a ton of their interface to achieve that 1993 Jurassic Park feel. Who knows tho, it could be in the final game which would be epic.

What if when you unlock Nublar, there's an easter egg (the old visitor Centre) and when you find it or interact with it, you unlock the old Jurassic Park asthetic (buildings and vehicles) to use?

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.

Really? Man that would be so cool! I have no idea one way or the other, but man that's awesome if true. :)

You'll find... Raxxla...

LOL. Have some rep.

I also have a suspicion that the endgame after unlocking Isla Nublar and completing whatever scenario is on it, is a sandbox mode for that island with a day/night cycle. That is what we all want and great way to cap off an awesome adventure across all the islands.

The UI wouldn't have to change at all. All we would need is a few JP themed items. They said the plan is to pay a homage to JP and there is no other way to do it than making Isla Nublar the 1993 JP.

Here is the BIS video for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
