Isla Sorna

Sorry if this is covered in another topic. (I searched, promise!)

Do we know anything about Isla Sorna yet? Curious to see how it fits into the game, based on franchise lore.

The only thing we know is that it will be the largest map of the five deaths, about the size of Isla Nublar.
Most of us think it will be the fifth island to unlock but that's not confirmed.

Yeah, I'm also a bit curious to see if it's still a site B that we maybe have to turn into a park or maybe it's simply empty.

It's an exciting mystery. The closing shot of TLW is one of my favorite sequences in the entire series. I would love to find "wild" dinosaurs on the loose there. The Dinosaur Protection Group website has some interesting Site B info. Since this game is set between the JW films, it might be relevant. Here's what it says...

■ The new species were grown in secret on Isla Sorna (Site B) and experimented on over a period of nine months, starting just 100 days after the company was bought by Masrani Global.

■ Incubation was achieved covertly and quickly to evade attention; only a select few InGen members were involved, and their names have been removed from records. It is unclear whether Masrani Global’s CEO, the late Simon Masrani, was aware of the violation of law.

■ The research and growth of these animals were filed under “Early R&D for Jurassic Park’s second incarnation” and simultaneously “Amalgam Testing.”

■ The new species included: Ankylosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Corythosaurus, and Spinosaurus. All were abandoned on Site B, until the surviving animals were reportedly moved to Nublar to be housed as future attractions at Jurassic World.

■ A number of these new animals had originally been reported by the survivors of the plane crash on Isla Sorna during the summer of 2001, but the information was quickly buried by “bribed officials.”

I've just been snooping around on that site, it's very well made and has some interesting information.
If indeed Isla Sorna will still be a site B when we unlock it, I think we are going to have our hands full making it into a functional park.

Edit: I also adopted a T-Rex, I hope it's Rexy. :)

We haven't heard much. Most of what we have heard has been explained by other people here already. It's supposed to be one of the biggest play areas in the game, maybe as big as Nublar's. I believe it will be the last island we play on in the Los Cinco Muerte chain. I don't think Pena will be the final island.

Probably both a dev diary and IGN 20 minutes video, if not I expect they will show it in the livestream on June 10th.

I genuinely can't wait to see Sorna. I hope there are redwood forests as well as some easter eggs. Maybe a wrecked RV at the bottom of a cliff or something. would be cool.

When we do see Sorna I am expecting to see some old Ingen buildings already in the area. That would be cool. I remember someone from FD, I think Michael Brookes, saying there would be easter eggs in the game. I hope there are.

Yeah that'd be cool. I was hoping Nublar might have some similar things going on with the OG park. Maybe the old visitor entre all overgrown.
