Island Map

Hello there.
Given the fact we have already much more diverse map outskirts, it kept bothering me why isn't there any of them located on an island.
Unlike the city outskirt, It wouldn't need to be much complicated, as the game itself wouldn't need to calculate every single cubic meter of water outside the map's range.

There's also an huge opportunity on the Island map that many people would most possibly enjoy.
As there's no ethical way of including cetaceans like dolphins, orcas, or even humpback/blue whales in a zoo game, The map could generate them as wild specimens wandering in the sea around the map, and perhaps performancing some animations. These animals wouldn't need any AI to begin with, and at the same time, would bring many players the animals they couldn't really have in the game otherwise.

Actually, we have 3 lol

I know we have them as a scenario maps with very much limited building area.
The point of my post was to give us regular size maps with sea outskirts officially, so they could get such features as the whales swimming around the map.

Well the links I have are expanded borders, so now you can go beyond those boundaries lol

I like the idea of the first part. Actually I'd love a map that was just a tiny bit of land with the entrance on it, surrounded by water. We could then terraform the map to increase the land we would want to have to build on.

The second idea, while nice in theory as an visual aesthetic, would probably not be that practical. Though you mention they wouldn't need any AI, the game would still have to program them somehow. That could actually be a really neat separate game though...Planet Ocean....though of course, the guests wouldn't last very long.
