Isn't there a timegate for war anymore?

I helped a faction win a war in about 7 days, and one day later after the war ended the two same factions that fought are getting ready for war again, same system. Wasn't there a 7 days time limit for a faction to go to war again? Shouldn't there be a weeks time in between the two wars? The losing faction is a player faction that is currently at war in several systems..
 
Wasn't 7 days - maybe 1 or 2 I think 🤔 But because you used to win by getting higher INFL it didn't matter as much as you would usually be nowhere near the loser when the war ended - now things end a lot closer on INFL. And the BGS guide now says 'no cooldown'. So once the war is won I guess you need a day of boosting the winner to get away from the loser or you may end up back in a war 🤷‍♀️

Not anymore, since 3.3
 
Do the veterans consider this a good thing or a bad thing?
I think it's better than having cross-overs during the recovery phase, that then start the war later when they cross back.

(Which you can still get occasionally on the split from the win bonus, or a controlling faction being overtaken by a third party while it's in a war, but it's much rarer)
 
I think it's a good thing. Others may think otherwise.
I suppose we can headcanon it has one long war with occasional cease-fires. Real wars can last months or years, after all.

Speaking of headcanon, I'm assuming that factions hire mercs like me to fight their wars for them, with occasional intervention by superpower navies. There's no way my system of 1000 people can sustain a full-blown war. The capital ships alone probably require crews larger than this!
 
its always been 1 recovery day for war and civil war
and used to be 2 days for election,
my opinion is 1 day is good always has been. If you are fighting off an invading faction, 1 day of rest is more than enough and even that can allow the invaders to have their INF surpass the previous warring factions...so 1 day of recovery is great
