Issue tracker

hello, yes its me again, the guy whos complaining so much these past days xD

So i think the issue tracker is realy great not only for us as community to quickly put out the issues we have but also for frontier as kind of like a checklist to work out.
however i dont think this is beeing handled correctly. i see many issues beeing labeled as fixed when they actually are not fixed. a lot of issues appear to need other user confirmation otherwise it just expires and probably doesnt get any attention anymore.

this issue has been flagged as fixed, however i opened a new issue because it clearly isnt fixed. still getting notifications about trash in the park but the thing is there is none and it happens 2-3 seconds after opening the park.

Here we also have a very serious issue with one of the rides. the issue is still present however the issue simply expired. probably because not enough people are playing or not many people using this specific ride to notice this issue. but the issue is something id consider "gamebreaking".

Another serious issue is the scenery not getting attached correctly to the water coaster boats. this issue was already reported back in november and i would consider this a serious issue also as it makes adding scenery totally poinless currently. so the issue is there since release but again, not enough votes on the issue track so we didnt get a fix untill now and not sure if we will get it fixed for next update :/

i also dont understand, do issues realy need 3 votes to even get acknowledged by frontier? i get that the point is to tackle issues that are affecting mutliple users. but theres also plenty of players who simply dont care about the issue track and are not actively using that site. so there might be issues with the game that are affecting some users but simply wont get looked at because its not getting any votes on the issue track. does frontier also look at reports with less votes?

Another thin i dont understand is why can i only vote on 6 issues at a time? if im having 10 issues than im factually having 10 issues. so i would want to vote on these 10 issues, not be limited to only vote on 6. theres currently 500 players in the game, its not like frontier is gonna get flooded by 10k players all pumping out 50 votes on issues, i realy dont see why there is this limit in place. the point of the issue tracker is to give us a platform to cummunicate the issues we are having to hopefully get fixed, however putting a limit is exactly the opposite of this point. please consider letting us vote on more than just 6 issues.


Last but not least, when browsing the issue tracker site to look for issues before posting a new one i find myself constantly having to log in again and again. when browsing issues, clicking one and then trying to go back to browser also doesnt work. it makes navigating this site just so tedious and exhausting i find myself just giving up on it and creating a new issue instead of actually looking for an exisiting one before. maybe frontier could also improve this a bit.

1. It's outsourcing the quality control to the customers completely.
2. It's up to us to find, figure out, and post this in an issue tracker which isn't user friendly.
(overview, minimum of 20 characters in title, region required for each issue --> useless)
3. Why are marked "fixed" when they aren't?
4. Other users are limited to vote for all posted issues they are concerned about.
5. In worst case all the effort to post an issue is worthless because it will expire before enough others were able to vote for it?
6. You need an additional account to use it (or link it to a different login, which option nobody should use).

I understand that it might help setting priorities for issue fixing, but if you're typing in an issue using different words then it won't show that this issue already was adressed...

Frontier, why don't you do some of your work by yourselves? Just have a look at the feedback section of your forums....

exactly my thoughts. i realy want to like the game and frontier, ive been such a huge fan since rct 3 and supported the first game since the alpha release. but the way they are handling the game and everything around it just doesnt seem right :/
lately i find myself mostly playing the game not because i enjoy it but because there literally is no other alternative in this genre.
i hope someone at frontier reads the feedback here and it somehow helps them improve things a bit.

The tool is not the problem, it doesn't matter if you use this tracker, another tracker or old school Excel :)

I get it's frustrating to see bugs expire, I had this myself and I reported the issue again. I fully agree that it's weird and annoying to see this happen as people take their time and effort to seriously and constructively report a bug. That being said, keep in mind Frontier is working hard to fix bugs in all kinds of ways. They simply don't have the time to do it all at once.

My advice would be to stay patient, and please keep reporting your issue's as eventually they will most probably be fixed. Always remember both us and Frontier have the same goal, an enjoyable great game.

I can't tell for Planet Coaster 2, but for Planet Zoo I have reported many issues over the years and I can tell that most of them were eventually fixed. It doesn't matter if an issue gets expired. I reported lots of issues that got expired (actually msot of my issued expired) and despite that they were fixed too (some sooner, some later).
 
What's the meaning of "Issue could not be loaded"?

This issue tracker is uncomfortable...
Please remove the mandatory region input... It's absolutely useless for PC2 and if you don’t want us to pick the first in the list, then remove this field from mandatory input!

Reproduction steps: here you explain what others have to do in order to replicate the issue that you are having. Hope that helps? If not let us know more about the issue you are having maybe we can help you better to open the ticket then :)

You need to write the steps they have to follow to see the problem. For example, if you have a problem changing the colour of one specific ride you must write: "build the name of the specific ride, go to Change colour and choose white. It automatically goes back to black". Something like that.
 
The issue of hybrid coasters is not addressed at all haha
yeah the issue with the water coasters is also still present and that ones been around since release. You cant attach any kind of scenery on those boats. Hope they fix these issues with next update, its about time

"Issue could not be loaded" means that the bug report was submitted with the "wrong" web browser, and has been permanently corrupted.

Which is the "right" web browser changes arbitrarily and is not consistent between reporters - Edge was "right" for me, and "wrong" for other reporters; I could never get Firefox to work while other people found it was the only one which did. Sometimes the same web browser, but in private browsing mode, suddenly counts as the "right" one. Sometimes it doesn't.

You can tell if you've got the "right" web browser because you'll see extra (required!) fields in Step 3 - see the screenshots in https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/cobra-mk-v-left-keyboard-console.631606/#post-10507974 for an example. Presumably it's these required fields being missing which breaks the final submission.

(It's worked this way for at least four years, and regularly comes up on the forums, so by now I assume this is just part of the "discourage reporting bugs we won't have time to fix" policy)

All of my submitted issues just sit at 'confirming' forever, and I have a bunch of Planet Zoo ones that are just on 'expired'... not really sure how the system works but it isn't giving me much incentive to submit anything or faith it will be looked at

At least you only need 3 people to confirm an issue to get it 'confirmed' and stop it expiring, for Elite we need 10.

It's because you're using invalid characters. I'm pretty sure that ; ! and ? are invalid. Possibly the " too. If you remove all that extra unnecessary stuff then it should work.

I'm glad you managed to post it. However, reading what your issue is, I can't help but wondering if you might have research active on the sandbox configuration. Maybe you have it active and therefore you must research the missing rides to unlock them?
