Issue with CH Pro USB Throttle added to a Thrustmaster T16000M

Greetings,

I am playing ED since 7 months, it runs with no problem at all on my PC with Windows 7 64 bit and a joystick Thrustmaster T16000M.

I have recently bought a CH Pro USB Throttle to build a HOTAS system to control the ships and SRV.

Both devices are 100% functional and are correctly recognized by Win7.

The issue I have stumbled upon is that some buttons on the CH Pro Throttle have assigned the same number of some buttons on the T16000M.

I think that the numbers are assigned to the buttons by Win7 because, when pressed, they show the same values either in Win7 calibration applet and in ED Controls menu.

I am then limited in using all the buttons on the CH Pro Throttle because am willing to keep the assignments I have used so far in the T16000M joystick.

Thank you all in advance for any guidance in solving this issue.

Are you absolutely sure that they have assigned the same buttons?

ED doesn't tell you once a button has been mapped which controller it is from, so you can have 2 <BTN 1> entries in the list, but they will actually link to one button on each controller.

Best thing to do is try mapping the buttons as you want them to be and then go into one of the training missions and see whether they work correctly and don't overlap.

The numbers are assigned on a per-device basis. If you have three devices plugged in, you will have three "button 3"s. There is no way to distinguish these at a glance within the game. Just rebind them if there is any confusion.

Problem solved! Thank you very much to both of you!

I feel dumb for not having checked in actual flight that the binding assigned in the ‘Controls’ menu were not belonging to the same controller. Indeed they work correctly and don't overlap.
