Issue with Control Profile not being saved!

I'm using the Xbox 360 Wireless Gamepad.

If you start the game without the control on, and happen to use the keyboard to start the game, it switches to keyboard and mouse setting profile.

I have to shut the game down. Turn on my Wireless Gamepad and start the game again. But when you start playing, its forgot all your custom settings you made for it, and you are forced to do them all over again, and again, and again. For each time you forgot to turn on your gamepad.

It's pretty tiresome to have to do this. Why can't it just remember all custom profiles, and you can name them, and switch to that profile, for when you use that controller?

Is anyone else having this issue?

I don't use the pad by I got a friend using it (and quite a few players on the forums use it) and never heard any issue.
I think the support forum might help more, threads here go fast in second page, if no one answers in like 5 minutes

I get the same thing if I forget to plug my joystick in every time. Bit of a pain reassigning all the controls before playing. Hope it's fixable soon.

You can already do that, albeit manually. Bindings are saved in C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings. Whenever you change a preset it gets saved to "Custom.binds" - after you have set up the pad up to your liking make a copy of this file and rename it ("XB360Wireles.binds"). The next time you start the game you can then select it from the pull-down menu.
