Issue with SLI using "Force Alternate Frame rendering 2"

I've got 2xGTX970 in SLI. I've set "Force Alternate Frame rendering 2", but my second GPU registers 0 activity, while GPU#1 is carrying the load. Has anyone else come across this, and is there a solution?
Thanks

I no longer have any SLI or other multi-GPU setups so I can't test any of this first hand myself, but ED's history with multi-GPU support has been mixed. I know ED still has an SLI profile as I can see it in the drivers, but I have no idea if it still works.

In you case, I'd test each multi-GPU mode and see what it does to performance and GPU utilization. Also, see if you can increase the maximum number of frames to render ahead, sometimes setting this below the number of GPUs in the system can break AFR.

Sli doesn't really work properly with ED,

Pretty much that, most users found that SLI actually produced worse performance in ED than simply sticking with the one GPU. As a set up it was only really viable when using VR or a multi-monitor setup (i.e. more than one card could handle). Otherwise users found, various graphical glitches, hitches, stutters and even that strange light/dark thing making it really not worth the hassle. Couldn't even turn up the VRAM heavy settings either because VRAM qty doesn't even stack between the cards - i.e. with your 970's even though they both have 4GB of VRAM in reality only 4Gb of that 8 would be usable in SLI.

Best bet, play using one rather than both.
