Issue with the glass and underwater viewing

I've created a seal habitat and I'm super excited to continue building on it, but I'm stuck because my underwater viewing provides no view. You can't see into the water at all, but you can see the viewing spot thru the water? It works on literally one little section of the glass, but the rest is just not working. I'm using the new thick glass barrier which doesn't use one sided glass, I'm really stuck here.

I don't want to keep working on this area if it's just not going to work. Any ideas? This is really frustrating to deal with.

Okay, so I fixed it, but I had to modify the terrain to where it was ground above the glass wall. If you're having issues like mine, it seems the best fix is to put the ground over it like below. While not ideal, it works as I was planning to use rocks around the windows anyway. But I would like to see a Dev response or a fix related to the issue I was having b/c I don't believe we should have to surround the window with the ground to get it to work.

I'm still loving this DLC tho, great work guys!

That sounds like a super useful workaround, thanks for that! I'll try that in my next habitat. I have in the meantime found a second workaround which is spotlights in the water, it works at least for smaller spaces:

That was going to be something I was going to do as well haha but honestly, the water looks better thru the glass now than it does when you're in the water. It really brightened everything up nicely.

I’ll have to try that later. It would be great if that works because this is a real bummer when all the animals’ movements are so life-like and fun to watch. I tried other covers/shades on top of the glass, but that didn’t work. There might indeed be light at the end of the tunnel/the other side of the glass! :)

I posted this fix a while ago, well glitch. You only have to have the terrain intersect the top of the tank. It works well if you set the height then lower the bottom of the barrier into the ground and use the flatten terrain tool to level the viewing area. make sure to submit it as a ticket if you want it fixed
