Issue with VR in Oculus Rift S

Hello, after a long break from Elite Dangerous I have a problem with starting the game in VR. I start the game from Steam with SteamVR mode, the game starts normally, on the monitor I have an image (screen mirror) that reacts to the movements of the HMD, but I do not have an image from the game in the HMD. I also do not have an image in the HMD after closing the game, until I restart the Meta Quest Link App. The HMD works normally outside the game (oculus home), everything works in other games too, only with ED there is a problem. Yesterday after multiple attempts I managed to start the game somehow, but today the problem appeared again.

My version of ED is Odyssey, but I also have Horizons and it's the same there.

I have already contacted support, but just in case I am creating this thread, maybe some user has already encountered a similar issue.

I am using Google Translate, so I apologize in advance for any language errors.

Best regards
Bartek

I'm giving this OP a like 'cos at last a post that is PC related in the PC sub forum (what a shocker! ;) ).

No idea about the issue, maybe if there were less dross threads totally unrelated to PC issues there would be a better chance of someone who could help dropping in.

Good luck...

You might find help in the VR forum - I cannot answer your problem directly as I use a Quest 3 and the stand-alone Elite launcher.

My initial guess would be Steam VR being the problem, and I’d suggest trying OpenComposite to bypass it. I use it in several Steam games and it has the bonus of giving increased performance due to Steam VR not taking up resources.

Do other Steam VR games work for you in the Rift S?
