Issues! Hull textures borked.

When inside the sidey, you can see some of the external ship. The texture looks like it has been inverted. The 3d is totally wrong.

EDIT - it is as though you can see throught the hull. I have tried applying different livery, same issue. Hollow hull.

Spy cam looks fine though.

Could someone confirm this for me please?

I would be really grateful if someone bought a sidey. Then just stood up and looked outside?

The sidey is pretty much the ship I only ever use nowadays! :/

I hopped into mine last night and didn't notice anything out of place. I didn't try standing up to look down the exterior though.

But it is the exterior which is the issue. The internals are fine. It is like the armour is missing, you can see the textures on the side of the ship.
 
Well if you have to stand up out of normal viewing position see it.
It could be they just aren't rendering them cause "you wouldn't see it anyway".
And a big rule for improving performance and frame rates is to NOT render things you wouldn't see normally.

I doubt it bro. That rule only ever applies to things that people DEFINATELY won't see e.g. beyond the edge of the scene, behind a hill etc. Something as close as the front of the ship you are actually on would be rendered. Even the back of NPC ships are rendered.

BUT you can actually see the front of the sidey. Especially in VR where you do move about a bit more. I know it doesn't look like much but in VR, anything like this stands out like a sore thumb! The sidey is essentially unplayable in VR atm. :(

It is just even more blatently obvious if you stand up.

So

Please could someone with a CV1 get in a sidey and stand up? :)

The video shows it quite clearly, well done andysonofbob.

It looks like the model has been a bit corrupted - or a UV has been flipped on that texture (if the UV's have been flipped for those polygons, then the texture will display on the underside and not the outside. Its then repeated on both sides of the ship.

Unusual that it doesn't show in external cams - that indicates the model is different for the cockpit view than it is for external views (At least for those polygons anyway).

Hopefully FD will fix it in a point patch update.
