Issues Ranking up in the Empire. Anyone else having Ranking issues?

I'd dare say I have been playing this game for almost a year now, out through beta and into the release of 1.3, and the new update as of today. Up until Powerplay has released I had absolutely no problem ranking up through the system for the Empire/Alliance/Federation. But as of 1.3, I have been stuck as a "Serf" In the Empire for nearly 2 weeks now.

I found it a little disheartening due to the fact that I'd rather like to get an Imperial Courier or the lovely Imperial Clipper. I have the funds, nearly 2 times over to afford either one and totally max it out.

I have done Mission after mission, Bounties, Trading. Pretty much anything and everything that other CMDR's in space recommend, and I have not seen one Naval Ascension mission since the Powerplay update.

Any advice or suggestions would be amazing (I did browse the forums for about 3 pages and have found no one else posting about this issue)

Atm. I have the same problem, at baron rank now. 2 days ago the 'naval Ascension opportunity' mission showed up in unavailable, nice enough...but now 2 days later and been doing missions/charity whereever i can, for the empire aligned minor factions...but no new ascension mission :/
I think ranking is good and real broken atm. I'll just hug my clipper and be glad i got to Baron lol

Went from Elite to Marquis yesterday.

Took a good few missions to get the mission to drop, but then I presume the higher you go the more missions/rep you will need to complete in order to get on to the next one and so on......

Did have to do the Marquis mission twice though, two completely different missions and picked up at completely different bases for it to register the rank change. That said, I did also log off and on again, so who knows.

Works fine from my POV at the present moment. Bit of RnG involved.

I've seen many of the Naval Ascension missions, and I've done around 15 of them in total but none of them ranked me up. Definitely broken.

I have yet to try the 4 new federation ranks, but getting to King was a mess. Totally random missions for a variety of ranks, some advancing me to the next rank, even if they were meant for lower ranks, some doing nothing. I had made Prince when 1.03.02 dropped, basically resetting everyone, me to Earl. Yet the next working mission brought me right up to King. I'm getting ever more disappointed with every 1.03.xx patch *not* fixing the mission system. It's not only the naval missions that are partly broken.

I need some advice. I managed to get Fed rank to Lt Commander and Emp to Count, then their corresponding blue arrows stopped increasing. Wherever I go, local Fed or Emp factions say they are Allied, and if I do more missions for them I see their own blue arrows go up if I'm lucky, but never the major faction; been like this for weeks.
Does anyone have a clear explanation for how to get the main factions to show increases, as my understanding is that only if they increase, am I moving to the next naval rank. If that's NOT true, please let me know and I'll stick at the same local favtion and do more missions anyway.

One last point, I have flown for hundreds of LY to find non-Allied local factions, thinking that was the aim, but I cannot find any, and suspecting that they've all flipped to Allied like the major, I've done missions anyway, and major hasn't increased.

All minor factions that are under your allied major faction will be allied to you, but your actual reputation with them doesn't seem to be affected. So even if they're allied, you still need to do missions for them. You can tell it's working by the progress bar after finishing a mission.

As for why there's no blue arrow for the major faction, I'm not entirely sure but it's the same for me; however, doing missions for the minor factions still works even if the blue arrow doesn't show for the major faction.

Hope the naval ascension missions actually work for you though. I just want the clipper.

Fed missions just as broken. Assassination, success, no rank.

Edit: It's broken worse. Got a fetch 32 Rutil mission. I have 32 Rutil. Board says I do not.

I'd like to add that I have submitted a Ticket on the official site as well as the bug discussion forums. The issue I'm seeing currently is that its been a well known issue for nearly 3 weeks now. But with the addition of 2 updates it doesn't seem to be a top Priority. I have to admit. I'm getting closer and closer to shelving the game until something about this is fixed. Going on nearly 2 weeks more of doing missions and trading and assassinations and I have YET to see a Naval Ascension mission
