Issues with my X52... can you help?

So, all excited to get my X52 today, brand new experience... but I'm having problems.

I downloaded and installed the latest drivers from saitek's website.

Now since then:

- Boost doesn't work (the (i) button just makes all the lights flash on my joystick, and is not programmable)
- Using the directional pad on the stick (which is meant for diverting power) for some reason takes me into mouse look... can't unbind this anywhere. There's not even a binding for mouse look on the joystick
- The pinkie button didn't work, until I messed with some profiles over in some post I found here.

Can anyone advise on getting this working as it should? Is it the drivers? How can I uninstall these drivers and stick with the standard windows ones?

I'm pretty frustrated, so excuse any hostility found in this post. This device cost me quite a bit of money, and it seems that their own drivers messed it up.

Hi Flappers! I had loads of probs setting up mine to how I wanted initially....
There are loads of threads on here about your problem...
If you just select 'X52' in game >options>Control>X52...
I found it better to get used to FD's settings.... If you want to make a change, do it one at a time!!

Does this clutch mode also fix the issue with the head look?

I don't know, I couldn't use my X25 pro normally until I disabled it.
I think it's in Saitek control center options. Just uncheck "clutch mode", or something like that.

Thanks all.

The boost button is fixed. That's great.

But randomly, for reasons unknown, the power distributor stick turns into head look.
I can't turn it off, and have no idea why it randomly switches on.

Check joystick's control panel (in Windows) to see if some buttons/contacts get shorted.
At least that's what happened to my friend who bought X52.

This suggests that you've assigned headlook button as a toggle and are accidentally triggering it, meaning that hat will control headlook until you press the headlook toggle button again. Have a look in controls for headlook and see which button it is. If you really want you could disable that feature by re-assigning the keybinding to nothing (press escape when selected).
