Elite / Frontier Issues with save and load games ... anyone else have this ??

Hey folks

have had a problem with saving and loading in glffe.

if i try to save in the default folder (commandr) within the file structure the game crashes to desktop - same if i try to load that game.:mad:

i have worked around it by having a save game folder out of the games file structure which so far is doing the trick and keeping me in the air ... but wondered if anyone else has come across this - a strange one i thought:confused:

I had the same problem when I first installed JJFFE. I got around it by moving the game folder to a network drive (I've got a home network) and running the game from there.
The saved games went in the COMMANDR folder as normal; all I needed to do was change the shortcut on the desktop to the new location.

Not sure if that helps, but hope it does! :D

thanks Glyndo, its kinda what i was doing, was being the operative word, i have had to remove glffe as too many conflicts on my system :confused:- which is gutting. That said i am using another program that works just fine on my PC so until elite 4 comes along i am afraid i am off to nebulas new with 'evochron renegrades' - which is a stunning piece of software - not quite elite - but getting there in the absence of anything better;)
