It finally happened

Not that I wanted it to.
On my way back to the bubble from my 12 months circumnavigation (361 days played exactly today), I used many NS boots, because I was way behind the scheduled comeback. After more then 50 NS boosts, it finally happened - the disconnect bug. Although I was more then 2 ls away when I initiated the jump with the NS directly behind me (so more then 5 ls away when the jump actually started), after a disconnect I was in the jet cone of the NS taking module damage and unable to jump because all of my modules kept turning off constantly. I logged off with something more then 4 minutes air left in my life support.

I opened a ticket and I'm waiting for them to help me if possible, but the timing could not be worse with christmas just around the corner.
361 days, nearly 20000 systems and 500k ly, some 500 million cr of exploration data, 205 Earth likes and countless valuable systems, I really hope I don't loose all of it.
But even if I do, it's not the end of the world.

Still...hoping for the positive outcome.

Hi Cmdr, wow it's far too many tales like this that have kept me from even visiting any NS systems recently, nevermind trying to boost from them, here's hoping FD Santa sorts this for you,,, o7

OK, good news, they helped me by transporting my ship to a safe nearby system. Thank you, FD.
Also I got this helpful bit of info:
"I would also like to provide a helpful tip for the time being: If you are intent on using a neutron star to boost your FSD, it would be a great idea to fly away from the neutron star to a safe distance, and then to drop out of supercruise into normal space flight before jumping. This creates a "safe" zone that you will be returned to if you get disconnected while jumping."

The journey continues.

Good tip.

Very cool that not only did they fix the problem, but that's a pretty fast response too - on xmas eve, no less.

Fly safe(r), CMDR o7

Cool that you dont take things too serious... :)
I will not stop supercharging although same happened to me a week ago. Not with that much data on board, though...
Ntl, Problem solved within a day using a ticket...

Really good job when the Support, even in the christmas time, can react that fast... thx!

But honestly I dont understand why they didnt fix this issue with a mini patch but wait for the big one...
