I was on a roll yesterday parking my FC very close to a station with more steel, titanium, and Such, and another station with more CMM composites than I could ever need.
I filled it up and delivered it all to the building station in the system I am colonizing and then returned the FC to the station far away with the rest of the titanium and aluminum I now want to move.
I am building my first Coriolis.
But when I began to nod off at the HOTAS controls and miss the 7 second mark to 75% throttle and end up way out in nowhere before opening my eyes and such, I knew it was time to log off.
A sleepless night followed as my C-spine was killing me and a migraine came to hang out and keep me company all night.
About 10 minutes after I finally fell asleep a friend called in need, and that took the day.
I thought I'd buy a few supplies this evening but realized I was far too sleep deprived and it would only lead to disaster.
ED is laid back, but not a game I like to play when sleepy and drowsy.
So, I have been forcing myself to stay awake so I can sleep tonight and help a niece out early in the morning.
I hope I can play some after I return from that, but it depends on if I can rest tonight. But when I miss sleep like this it usually leads to less and less sleep over several days until I dfall out form pure exhaustion.
All that to say it has been years since I have been on fire for ED again. So, the fact I got a little perturbed is a good thing.
I hope I get a good night of rest so I can play tomorrow.
One thing that I love, is that it is fun even though it is very repetitive and time consuming, but there is a goal and a reward that makes it worthwhile. I am glad we do not have to manually unload the supplies by hand with ab tractor beam and such.
Otherwise, a 12–40-hour build would turn into a 120–400-hour build.
Not all pristine hotspots are equal though, I can go to the known hotspots and mine like crazy., but when I try to mine at my claimed system hotspots I find trash and waste limpetts and time for nothing. It is crazy.
I hope the system NPCs that move into the system have better luck than I have at mining lol.
