It is 60 fps on current gen consoles!

PS5 & Xbox Series X should be able to hit 60 fps but it really depends on what you consider current generation. By all other metrics you would be correct to say current gen, but on account of chip shortages, disruptions in the supply chain, and scalping there might as well not be a next gen at this point.

P.S. Microsoft sucks with naming conventions, funny how no one calls them out for the horrific and confusing naming of their consoles.
