It is now impossible to build custom Vertical Loops in Final release of Planet Coaster

It is now impossible to build your own custom vertical loops in Planet Coaster ver 1.0.0.35860.

All you get now is a WARNING with TRACK LIMIT EXCEEDED when you build the top half of the vertical loop when you are gonna curve/bank the the track.

UPDATE
I Managed to build a custom vertical Loop using shorter track parts
you can disregard this thread. You can no longer build the way the video tutorial sugests.

I don't want to use the pre-made vertical loops, they are horribly unrealistic.

Try to build this loop in this tutorial on the Arrow coaster and you'll see what I mean:

Please please Frontier, give us back the ability to build our own custom vertical loops.

Just look at the shape of them, they are too uneven, not smooth, and you can't customized them except for the size.

I mean we can curve, bank and bend the track just the way we want but not build custom vertical loops. I find that very strange.

To add to this, the premade loops have a lot of almost straight track before and after them, so they take up way too much space. This also prevents making compact coasters with loops.

I also tried to build a custom vertical loop on the Basilisk coaster and it didn't work there either so it might be a restriction they've added to all coasters that can loop.

I totally agree with you, the pre-made vertical loops are just straight track, no banking, and it's too far apart in the beginning and the end of the track in the loop.

And as you say this prevents you from making compact roller coasters with loops.

Frontier again limiting coasters, what's wrong with the developers?!?!?!?! [mad]

I have been wondering that myself, especially because I have mentioned this time and again in bug reports.
Mostly ever got "working as intended" as a reply.
I am quite disappointed about the state of the "final" release, and these limitations in particular.
The removal of the Beta Bug forum feels like a sweeping under the rug.

I really do not understand where the problem is ..

...left .. the prefab loooing looks fine for me and it IS smooth.
...right .. a quick looping i made in 2 minutes. With more time i really would get the shape of the prefab loop.

If you are using equal length.. it will be nearly a circle and you can´t smooth it neither in a good way. The length of a track segment should vary by the radius of the bending. If that makes sense to you.

There are two major problems with the pre-built inversions:

1. They have to start from and end with a completely flat, unbanked piece of track.
2. By definition their shape cannot be adjusted.
3. Several of them are not really smooth from first person cam.

I mean...that pre-made one look pretty spot on to me, its a tear drop shape like it should be.

none of those make them unrealistic....good luck getting a custom made one smooth with how the current smooth tool is

I dont know what you are trying to do now, but all coasters still have still custom inversions, including vertical loops.

I said to myself, mmm maybe they changed it with the arrow as you say. Tried with the arrow and yep, still doable.
I even tried for a second time using the tutorial you posted and yep, still doable. Not the best vertical loop in the world, but I didnt have the time to tweak it like I do in my real coaster.

Never once it appeared the message "warning, track limit exceeded". So yeah, i dont know what are you trying to do right now, but they really havent changed the way I did custom inversions with alpha 2, 3 and beta.

Dont shout about things that are clearly not facts.

Well it doesn't work for me, neither in my old Alpha 3 map or if I create a new sandbox map.

The problem is.. the prefab corcscrews are unusable.. because they have not a lead in and lead out. This two are flat.. right.
The smoothing tool is great .. BUT as mentioned in other threads .. the track system, especially the banking isn´t continuous all times.. it is .. -->>continuous >> straight part >> continuous. Which is ending in those nasty transitions.
The same is going on with the straight, unbanked track.. but you don´t see it that heavy.

The problem is known since Alpha and it will be not an easy change. So i hope too there will coming some changes to it.
But.. it is possible to built custom inversions (even if they are not that good) :D

Maybe have a bit patience and see IF there will come some changes to it.

If there seems to be a problem that none else is getting (I even flollowed your tutorial to make that loop), better go to the bug report forums and post it there, but treat it as its something happening only to you, becuase coasters are still behaving as in older alphas since alpha 2.1.
Also, make a screenshot of the warning message when post it.

And yes, I never use prefabs becuase they are never ideal, been doing the inversions myself since 2.1

I use the pre-made items sparingly for this reason, if we were able to edit them like we would with a custom inversion they would be so much better

video might be even better of how the OP is doing it
