It should not be against the rules to use AI generation software to communicate about a game that is made with such tools.

I've tried participating on reddit and here and keep getting shushed because i typically use CGPT to reword my posts to sound positive.

I have a mood disorder. If i don't use such buffers i'll produce content that you don't want to read. This rule comes across as malicious, a form of harassment, as it is preventing me from participating with the tools i usually use to keep conversations on track.

I'm not cheating on a test. I'm just trying to get my thoughts out without filling a page with unrelated mood.

Please consider this as positively as possible.

I'm not sure where you got the idea that this game is made with generative AI. I've certainly never seen FD state they use them. The vast majority of the graphical assets, voice scripts and recordings were all made well before the first release of ChatGPT in November 22. The only exceptions would be Powerplay chatter and the Galnet text-to-speech feature, which isn't that good - certainly not the quality of OpenAI's TTS endpoints.

I do, however, think you have a legitimate point - there are genuine accessibility and inclusion benefits offered by bots like ChatGPT. I personally don't have an issue with people using ChatGPT for editing and rewording, although it's not as good - from a stylistic standpoint - as doing so one's self.

The forum rule seems to be aimed at AI-generated spam rather than the use case you describe. I would, however, point out that there is another forum rule banning discussion of moderation in the public forum. I'd suggest DMing the mod who closed the thread and explaining the situation in private. You might make more headway.

So far we haven't had any trouble or issues reading your posts in the years you've been posting here. In fact I'd venture to say that they read far better than the OP of the thread I closed.

The reason I closed it was, unlike your other posts, it did not read as your thoughts but the result of asking a chatbot to explain why photography missions from Nintendo games would be good in Elite. It didn't make sense and whatever original intention you had for the idea was lost. Trust me you are far better off writing yourself 😊

Did you use Chat GPT for this ^ ?

Don't let an electronic parrot become a crutch. That parrot cannot be trusted.

Some people have a legitimate need for crutches.

I would assume the OP is at least proof reading the responses to be sure the intended meaning is preserved, even if they don't feel confident in articulating that meaning in their own words.

ChatGPT would sound awkward in a different way.
