It still doesn't hit the mark, does it?

So, I ouspent my means.. Got VR and....

It's still the same. It looks better for a while, then you're back to the same routine.

For sale: Pretty decent PC, HMD (WMR Lenovo Explorer), Thrustmaster FCS and/or T Flight X. Home made infra red led headset plus licence for FaceTrackNoIR all inclusive. Wired ED Tracker, that doesn't work as advertised, but heh? work it out yourself.

I want to live life before I die, not wait on assumptions.

This will get deleted soon.

Plus a chair, hand built to hold HOTAS, as can be seen in the game; hours spent getting it proportionally accurate.

Someone will complain about my comment/s, and this 'game' will sink beyond recognition. So I'll screen capture the lot, as it's about time that other people be warned about backing 'projects'.

You can haz my stuffs; it was a waste of money and time; a lot of it. I'll count my losses; have it all.

Like religion; there's only so long that you can lie to yourself.

So, bye, whilst you can read this.

After a while it's not as amazing, I still like it though. For me if feels fresh again after not playing for a couple weeks.

As for your situation, could be worse, could've backed star citizen.

I played ED:H flat out for a couple of years before I took a break from it six weeks ago............. and I needed to take a break.

Game not good? For me thatr's not the point but variety is the spice of life.

I am looking forward to getting back into ED:H because, in the greater scheme of things, the adventure is not over for me.

Rage quit thread of the week............

I get this from time to time. VR ED is probably the best ED I have and maybe ever will play, but I really wish there was a a little more multiplayer aspect to it. Just a bit more interaction.

Also would want the galaxy map to be better in VR and to be able to use comms as well in some kind of voice activated way.

I know. First world problems, right?

But I am not yet ready to quit because, despite ED's shortcummings, I am still drawn to the VR version much more than I ever was to the flat screen version.

Just out of interest, what did your hotas chair design look like.

Hugs mate. You sound like you need it. Hope you find what you are looking for.

How much of your issues have to do with using Windows VR and a separate tracker? Have you tried a Rift or a Vive?

Yeah, he’s using third rate gear.
Could you quantify this as I would disagree with your statement. I have tried a rift and have a dell visor and I have to say in my opinion the dell visor is leaps better than the rift for this game. Tracking is perfect since one isn't using the controllers. I base this off the fact that there is no real noticeable screen door affect to me, it fits comfortably, and is light.

Also, it appears OP was speaking more to the fact they believed ED was still the same game after VR and had expected some change in the game due to VR. Ultimately it appears they were disappointed in the game play loop itself.

If you didn't like ED to begin with, VR probably won't magically make it better. Not entirely sure what your actual issues are with the game, but good luck with your next game. You may want to try out other VR games before dumping it all.

Great replies.

I forget that I'm not in the pub.

I was attempting to be ironic, whilst having issues.

An issue, an issue, we all fall down.

Trying to remember all the comments, and answer them, assumes I have the energy. Suffice, I've been having a ball in VR, and my mediocre home build PC can just about push the pixels. I often mess up on these forums, because I imagine people can see my expression as I type. I was trying to do the ultimate moan, hoping that someone will come along and lecture me about 'first world problems'

And some (other) people should take responsibility. For instance: The carburettor on my scooter is playing up a bit. Granted, it's supposed to go in a Triumph, but with a bit of dedication, the performance will pay off. True, it takes a certain type of nutter to ride a scooter like that, but nutters like me exist. Souping up bikes/scooters did not require hours and hours of waiting for signal sources to appear: you just went and found the bits; where you know you can find them.

Frontier: David Braben is a memory now. I can't remember the last time he spoke on these forums after rushed release. Why he employed sticky plaster programmers is beyond me. But it's HIS game isn't it?

So, yeah, you're right. I was being obnoxious. I'm not a snob, though. I bet we'd all get along in the pub.
