I am very happy that some players are able to play. unfortunately I am finding it extremely hard to play if I can not sell any stolen goods at ANY anarchy station, and it does not matter which one. this has been occurring since the update 5.

so, this is called inventory management?


And yes I have added this error to their issue tracker so many times that I feel I have started another chapter for War and Peace.

Very frustrating.

What I can't understand is why the game mechanic allows you to 'aquire' soo many items/data that are utterly useless, junk. They clutter up your inventory & can neither be traded for another item/data or sold, as is the case with selling data at the bartender.

As I recall, stuff you can trade is stuff that you need in other upgrades......really?

I have a similar disconnection issue but only when trying to sell some specific goods I picked-up a few weeks ago. These (4x GMEDS) appear on a separate line in my inventory to all my other GMEDS. So long as I don't try and sell any of the 4 from that line then it works, if I include 1 or more of those 4 GMEDS when selling anything else I get a server disconnect error. Just posting this in case you are getting your disconnections due to one bugged item that you are selling as part of a larger transaction and if so it may be worth selling items individually to see if one or more is bugged.

Everything can be sold. Or should be sellable if the OP is correct about current b0rkage.Top tip - don't bother picking up useless stuff (y)

There’s an inconsistency with it. I can’t pick up that tablet on the table, but I can pick up the tablet in the locker.

You either limit it so the player can only pick up useful items (Edit: my preference) or you allow people to collect everything.

If you have unwanted stuff, when next on foot transfer it to your suit and then drop/discard it. When my inventory gets too full I have to drop the least wanted items to make room for the more wanted, until I can trade/sell to the bartender.

I experienced a similar bug prior to Update 5, if I queued up too much items it would keep crashing once I tried to sell them. I had to resort to selling one good at a time to get through the list (e.g. queue up all Biochemical Agents, sell them, queue up all Chemical Samples, sell them, etc.), but it did end up getting rid of the bug.

Have you logged in to Horizons, if you do that and go to perhaps Eurybia, then log back to Odyssey when there, maybe it'll break the spell.

Ahh to break the broken spell!

I also tried it on another machine ended up with the same error. ahh the pain, I need alcohol at 10 am already.

I would suggest dropping all of the items you are trying to sell.
Just consider it contaminated items for role play, and then carry on playing.

That's interesting. There are a few things on my inventory list that are also spread across two lines and I couldn't figure out why. They're things I'm hanging onto for upgrades etc. rather than needing to sell, so they've not triggered anything unexpected, but it's good to have even a partial explanation. It's a bug. I should have known. That should really be my go-to default explanation by this point. Of course it means I'll likely have issues with these items when I try to use them for Engineering. 🙁

Well with some sort of update in the works I would hope that they fix this error once and for all.
