Item wheel - can’t select?

New to EDO on foot. So I’ve bought an Xbox controller to use with EDO on foot. I’ve got the following connected HOTAS, Pedals, Mouse and wired Xbox controller. I am trying to select items on the Item Wheel. The example being from the tutorial where it asks you to select a power pack for your suit.

Looking at the Options -> Controls -> On Foot bindings I have bound Item Wheel and also navigating the wheel but I can’t find a bind for selecting items you highlight on the wheel? Can anyone help please.

You need to press the button to open the item wheel, navigate towards whatever you want to use (I assume with one of the thumb sticks) and then release aforementioned button.

Got it, had to change the button mode from button to toggle and then it works as you describe above. Is there a way to get it to work in button mode?

I don't know the answer, but could it be one of those options that says "hold" or "toggle"? I honestly don't know, but it came to me after thinks about your question.

I tried the above it worked so I moved on…. But now you’ve got me thinking, I said Toggle / Button but I am now thinking as you say some bindings offer Hold as well. I’ll recheck tomorrow and see what’s what.

Okay mate - as I implied, I really can't promise anything as I've never tried with a controller like yourself. I just know that so many of the controls give the option with hotas or kbm, so it's worth a look just in case.

They're even on ones that to me have seemed daft before - like the ship's cargo scoop, but on thinking about it after I can see why some people would prefer hold over toggle if you know what I mean?

Anyway, no promises, but thought it worth mentioning. A long reply for not much extra info I realize lol! Let me know if the option is there, or at least update the thread in case people have similar issues in the future. Good luck mate.
