Looking at the real sky yet thinking about The Alliance, The Empire and The Federation

Elite has given me a new level of depth and reference.

I have been an amateur astronomer for over 20 years and know the sky down to 5th magnitude (i am looking at Eta Ursae Minoris from my mums garden right now, its 5.01 VM)

Ursae Major is currently at the Zenith, i have watched Mintaka,Alnilam and Alnitak culminate and set tonight.

In England it is pretty rare to get a clear night with decent transparency..

So to be able to see the galaxy every night without fail, priceless...

I must admit that visiting some of the objects that I have observed in the past is one of the things I plan to do in ED. I wonder if anyone has been to Eta Carinae, be interesting to see if the Homunculus neb is there.
