I started on the forums on the 19th and would have got Elite Dangerous Base game for the iMac a little before that, I switched to PC a few months later after the magic smoke escaped from the iMac.

I started Elite back in 1985 on a 48k Spectrum and years later played Frontier: Elite II on something else, I remember playing it but not what I was running. I missed FFE.

Spectrum hell yeah.
Mysteriously, the "M" and "N" characters became noticeably worn off the keyboard keys of the family speccy, and the M-key wore out and became unreliable.
I still took down ships dogfighting with only pitch up, pitch down, and roll left controls. Had to adjust my tactics a little though
